I adore the cottagecore aesthetic. As someone who writes about slow comfort living and homemaking in a cottage, you bet I love a cosy cottage feeling. There is something so nostalgic and welcoming about cottage decor.

Cottagecore Aesthetic

A few things are popular with creating a cottage aesthetic. One is gingham print. You can do this is many colours! My bedding is green gingham, I have pyjamas that are purple gingham and I’m considering yellow gingham fabric for new curtains.

You’ll also often see a mix of different floral prints that you would not normally expect to see together. Also, pairing gingham with floral. I’m doing that now with ruffle placemats that I’m sewing.

We also see a lot of thrifted or vintage finds among cottage decor and furniture to bring a rustic and comforting feel. Lots of timber and wooden designs. Fewer glass and metal that is very modern.

Cottagecore Decor Finds

Onto the decor finds. If you want to add a little cottagecore aesthetic to your home, here is what I have curated from online retailers.

Tea Time

Make tea time cosy with these floral tea items.

Comfort Decor

A beautiful floral throw and a cosy pillow to add cottage charm to your space, and comfort you to sit down with a hot mug of tea or a book.

Lighting

Create a cosy feel with cottage aesthetic lighting accessories.

Dining Plates

These are so lovely, you may wish to simply make them display plates!

Cute Cottage Finds

I can’t get past this butter tray! It is so adorable. I love it. The bath mat is a lovely cottage option for the bathroom.
